2/24/2012 | We were fortunate enough to find a really great martial arts school for our son! Not only did we find an instructor with amazing martial arts skills and knowledge but also one who is very patient and unselfish in sharing relevant information. What we are continuing to experience is far beyond our expectation of what a Martial Arts School is like, the students do not only learn martial arts skills but also self-defense, tips/strategies on how to act around a bully and escaping from captors which are very important to learn especially at this time when the dangers of bullying or kidnapping are becoming more and more alarming. The school is also active in helping out in the community by offering FREE Bullying Prevention Workshop, Anti-Abduction Workshop, etc. As parents, we enjoy coming to class too because we also learn a lot from Master Nottingham that we often find ourselves taking notes to remember what we learned. What we like the best is how the importance of RESPECT and GRATITUDE is very well emphasized. Overall, a very positive family experience!!!

2/21/2012 | USA Martial Arts under Master Nottingham's leadership and teaching skills has been a blessing in our lives! I enrolled my then 8-year old daughter to learn about self discipline, to increase her confidence levels around other children and unknown situations, and to get a good (athletic) workout on a regular basis. What we have experienced since she started has far exceeded my expectations! Yes, her confidence levels have soared, and yes, she is learning to more deeply understand the idea of self discipline and many other equally important concepts (respect, courtesy, altruism, sincerity). But equally important, she is spending many hours each week in the company of adults and children that share our desire for an environment in which ethics, honesty, and moral values are primary forces of communication. The children learn to treat each other with kindness and compassion. More advanced students help those that are still learning. Bigger kids support smaller ones. Coming to class is like entering a 'perfect little world' and the best thing of it is, the children take these lessons to heart and carry them into other realms of their lives such as school and play-dates. My daughter is now 9 years old and has grown tremendously, both inside and out. The simple workout I envisioned for her has turned into an activity that she truly loves and for which she works hard, both in class and at home. Who would have known! :-) As for us parents that sit and watch our children during class: You may confidently leave your books, magazines, and iPods in the car! When Master Nottingham teaches, there is wisdom and knowledge for everyone, not just the children. His advice and anecdotes, always told in a fun/humorous and never patronizing manner, will often lead you to reflect on your own life and many a time you will find yourself in the car or at home, discussing what he has taught with your child. My daughter constantly brings up topics that were discussed in class and wants to elaborate on them. It is what all parents want, open and healthy communication channels with their child. And when your child is trying to convince you that you, too, should join her classes, study Taekwondo alongside her, and reach black belt together, what could possibly be more amazing for a parent?

2/12/2012 | My son was 4 when he started at USA Martial Arts. The staff are very professional, respectful and courteous to not only the students but also to the parents. The 7 tenets of Tae Kwon Do are not only taught and stressed to the students but are lived by the staff. My son is now in another state and a different type of Martial Arts which does not stress these tenets. The difference in how the kids act is very different. Every parent that my son meets makes compliments about how well behaved he is. The other kids in his current class do not get this compliment because it is not taught nor stressed. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND USA MARTIAL ARTS to anyone wanting to learn the true meaning of Martial Arts.

2/12/2012 | Our children have been a part of the USA Martial Arts family for nearly two years! Our experience as a family has been nothing but positive. We have worked as a family with Master Nottingham to assist us in discipline and follow through at home. We feel very supported as parents, and know that we can look to our Martial Arts school to assist us in the disciplines that are taught at the school. I am confident that our two children listen and are attentive in class, it is critical to the practice of tae kwando that these lessons are taken out of the school and into the world. USA MARTIAL ARTS is committed to the families and to making our world a better place one student at a time! We miss our USA Martial Arts family during breaks, and vacations. This school is truly family, and we have experienced that over and over again! Our children are very happy to attend classes, and their self esteem and focus is thriving! Honestly, I do not have enough space to write all of my positive experiences that this school has brought and continues to bring to our home!

11/3/2011 | Amazing staff. Very personable and willing to help one on one when needed. Workouts are hard, but fun. In kickboxing no one is expected to keep up with the other students, it's a work at your own level mentality. We are pushed to our limit and then brought back for active recovery. Age range is from high school to grandparents. School is very clean, mats are disinfected every day and the bathrooms are always perfectly clean. Inviting environment, no one feels inadequate or ignored. Everyone leaves in a great mood!

USA Martial arts is one of the finest martial arts academies in the southwest. This school has programs for all types of students. The children's programs emphasizes personal development skills such as focus, discipline, and listening skills. Most of the children have improved their school grades and are better at doing chores around the home. Adult programs vary from self-improvement and overall wellness to self-defense skills. I have had prior training with Olympians, World, and National Champions. I can safely say that this school is among the elite schools in the nation. Anyone who is serious about learning martial arts or looking to get self-improvement skills should definitely check this school out. At the time of this post, USA Martial Arts has 3 schools in the Phoenix metropolitian area. Glendale, Scottsdale, and Mesa/Gilbert.
