There are many reasons for kids to become involved in the martial arts. We have developed a program based on traditional Taekwondo for kids called Karate for Kids. The Karate for Kids system is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to technical skills. The building blocks for our system are monthly themes such as:

Goals	Friendship	Perseverance
Self-Control	Confidence	Self-Improvement
Courtesy	Self Awareness	Respect
Integrity	Self-Esteem	Dedication

In addition to monthly themes, our system includes the unique victory patch. Kids are rewarded special " Martial Stars." These different colored stars are rewarded for outstanding performance in karate class, school, home or at a tournament competition. Kids may receive the following stars for the following deeds:

Gold	Straight A’s, honor roll, or significant improvement
Silver	Special performance awards
Blue	Monthly themes, weekly lessons, classroom performance
Red	Tournament participation

Different colored  Patches are available to accommodate all the stars that can be earned by a high achieving Karate Kid. But where most programs stop there, our program offers much more.  Try it and we're confident you'll experience the difference.

Karate Taekwondo Kung Fu & Jiu-Jitsu for Kids
Teaching self awareness, self-confidence and self discipline to kids through modern martial art systems based on 800-year old Asian traditions.

We take a peaceful approach to the ancient Japanese budo and Korean mudo and Chinese wutao traditions. We practice in a formal but non-comparative atmosphere. The dojo / dojang (training hall) is a safe and clean environment where cooperation and community are reinforced. Martial arts can be an excellent choice of study among so many alternatives in today’s world for children.

Our kids classes
Our Lil’ Tigers range in age from 4-6 and our Karate for Kids is specifically designed for ages 7-12 years old. We focus on physical fitness, self control, patience, self confidence, and just having fun. We do a lot of rolling, moving and educational games. Flexible, convenient class times are available Monday – Saturday with tuition starting at just $39 a month after registration.*

To get started
Have your child try a class. It’s fun and it’s free. Just have him or her wear something like sweat pants or gym clothes to move freely. When you come, we’ll ask that you sign a small liability form. The classes are safe, but any physical activity may have some risk of injury. You are welcome to stay to watch the class and meet the other parents. Afterwards, if you’d like to join, you can get a gi (uniform) and sign up. There are no extra sign up fees or contracts. All dues are month-to-month. A gi runs between $30 and $80 depending on the size and make. We have uniforms available at the dojo and you can purchase one through us if you like.

Our instructors have many years experience working with children. We’ve developed a training program that encourages kids to set goals and seek self-improvement through a flexible and individually challenging awards system. The program also encourages family and parental participation.
